Determination of total organic volatile organic compounds (TVOC) in indoor air

Application of Tenax TA adsorption tubes to collect a certain volume of air samples, the volatile organic compounds in air flow holds in the adsorption, after sampling, is obtained by thermal desorption device heating tube adsorption desorption gas of volatile organic compounds under test sample with an inert carrier gas into the capillary gas chromatograph, with the retention time qualitative and quantitative peak height or peak area.

This protocol refers to GB 50325-2010 Appendix G “Determination of Total volatile organic Compounds (TVOC) in indoor air”.

Inlet temperature: 220℃
Column temperature: initial temperature 50℃, initial 5min, heating rate 6℃/min, final temperature 250℃, final 5min
Detector temperature: 250℃
Carrier gas: nitrogen, flow rate is about 30 mL /min, pre-column pressure is 0.06Mpa; Shunt sample
Combustion gas: hydrogen, flow rate of about 30 mL /min
Auxiliary gas: air, flow rate is about 300ml/m
